英文のリピート学習ってどのくらいやればいいの？
英語力を上げるには、とにかく英文をリピートするって聞いたんだけど、
何回くらいやればいいの？5回くらい？それとも同じ英文を5分ひたすらやるとか？
確かに英語力UPには英文リピートが効果的
でも「〇〇回」やればOKってものでもないんだよ
大事なのは量ではなく「質」
今回は私がTED Talks を使った音読練習で実践しているリピートのやり方を教えちゃうよ
効果的な英文リピートのやり方
よくやりがちな英文リピート
たとえばこんな英文があったとします。

まぁ、大抵の場合音声を下のような感じで音声を聞いて１文を何回かリピートしますよね

もちろん音読のメリットとして英語のリズムに慣れる等があるので、１文を文頭からピリオドまで何回も練習するというのは間違っていません。
ただ、どうせ練習するのであれば「効果的」な音読をしたいですよね。
効果的なリピート練習
私はリピート音読練習をする際はまず英文をこんな感じでカタマリに分けて練習します。
① By featuring the vlogger’s tutorials
② and product recommendations
③ on their social media platforms,
④ the brand saw a significant increase
⑤ in sales and brand awareness.
そして各カタマリの単位でナレーターの音声をストップします。

スラっと言えるようになるまでこのカタマリ①を何度も言います。

次に②のカタマリを聞きます。

①と同じように②のカタマリ「だけ」を練習します。

②のカタマリも自信を持って (覚えてしまうくらい) 言えるようになったので、今度は①と②を組み合わせた箇所を練習します。

こんな感じで練習していくと知らないうちに暗唱できるようになっています。
音読はあくまでも英語力を高めるための「手段」です。音読が「目的」にならないようなトレーニングができるとよいですね。
